“Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.”
— Hebrews 11:1 (NLT)
I remember my daughter telling me about the day she stood outside the door of a recruiter's office. She was scared. She stood there, questioning herself, wondering if she should turn around.
But then she did it.
She opened the door and walked in.
And that one decision changed the entire trajectory of her life.
Isn't it amazing how one moment, one decision, can change everything?
A job offer. A marriage proposal. One bad decision. A few words we wish we could take back. Sometimes the smallest moments lead to the biggest changes, for better or worse.
This week, I made a decision that changed everything for me.
It was something I had thought about for a long time. Deep down, I knew what I needed to do, but I was scared.
Scared of how people would react. Scared of the fallout. Scared I might regret it later.
And yet, in the middle of all that fear, I felt peace.
Not because I had everything figured out. Not because I knew what would happen next. But because I believed I was making the right decision.
I've questioned whether I could have handled things differently. Whether there was an easier way. A better way.
Maybe there was. Maybe there wasn't.
But here's what I'm learning: Walking by faith doesn't mean having all the answers. It means trusting God even when I don't.
I don't know exactly what the future holds. I don't know what the next chapter will look like or how all the pieces will come together.
But I do know Who I'm trusting to lead me.
And I believe that as I continue to seek Him, He will direct my path. Maybe not all at once. Maybe just one step at a time.
This is my faith journey.
It's scary. It's exciting. And if I'm being completely transparent, it's a little overwhelming.
But I also know I wasn't meant to walk this journey alone.
We need each other. We need encouragement, understanding, and sometimes someone to remind us to keep going when our faith feels a little shaky.
That's part of why I'm sharing my journey here. Not because I have it all figured out, but because I don't.
And maybe you don't either.
So I want to ask you something.
Have you ever taken a step that changed the direction of your life?
Or is there a door you're standing in front of right now, afraid to open?
Maybe we can find the courage to take that first step together.
